How it works

Know what to do today. Watch it add up.

  1. 01

    Start the program

Make a free account and start Athlete Made Easy. Day 1 is a jump day, day 2 is a lift day.

The Athlete Made Easy program page in the app: what the 8-day cycle is and your run so far — started July 20, on cycle 9, 57 sessions logged — with View schedule and End this program.
  2. 02

    Open today's session

Jump day, lift day or mobility day. Your sets, reps and holds are laid out for you.

A session preview in the app: Lower Body Strength, 9 exercises and 28 sets with a time estimate, a Read this first note, then the session in order — a cardio warm-up and isometric holds, each with a Guide link — and a Start warm-up button.
  3. 03

    Log it as you go

Log every set. Lift more, and your max goes up on its own. On jump days, log your best jump.

Logging a set in the app: Power Clean, set 4 of 6, target 3×3, with 3 reps and 198.5 lb typed in, and last time's 3 reps at 192.9 lb shown underneath.
  4. 04

    See what moved

Your lifts and your jump on charts, and a report card on the 1st of every month.

The August report card in the app: 28 sessions logged, a share card with the best jump before and after (30.3 to 32.1 inches) and two main lifts, the power clean and the front squat, in pounds, and a QR code with an invite code.
The program

One 8-day cycle. Repeat it.

Two jump days, four lift days and two mobility days, with holds every day. The lift days cover your lower body, your upper body and one leg at a time. When every set is clean, add a little weight next cycle.

The 8-day cycle

  1. D1Jump
  2. D2Lower
  3. D3Upper
  4. D4Mobility
  5. D5Jump
  6. D6Single-leg
  7. D7Chins + dips
  8. D8Mobility

Then it starts again. Same days, and a little more weight once every set is clean.

The app up close

Your numbers, not our promises.

Every jump day logs your best jump. How high you jump is the clearest sign you're getting more athletic. The app also tracks the parts underneath: your strength for your size, how explosive and springy you are, your speed and your body composition. Log your food too, and on the 1st you get a report card for the month before.

  • Logging a jump day's max jumps in the app: Full Approach Jump, set 4 of 4, target 15 to 20 reps, with 18 reps and a best of 33.6 inches typed in, and last time's best of 33.1 inches shown underneath.

Your report card: sessions logged and what went up
  • The Nutrition screen in the app: 2,620 of 2,650 calories eaten today, 30 left, protein, carbs and fat against their targets, and meals logged for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Your first month

What happens, day by day.

Only what the app does. No guesses about your results.

  3. Day 8You finish your first full cycle. Day 9 starts the next one.
  4. The 1stYour report card for last month shows up in the app.

Want a real person on your side?

Help from a trainer is free right now too. That means messages answered, videos watched, and your program picked for you. Later it's $250 a month or $2,500 a year, and only if you want it.

What a trainer does →
A chat with a trainer in the app: Connor Barth, your trainer, and messages from the past week. The athlete says they'll stop jumping once the jumps drop and asks whether to lift the next day when sore, and the trainer answers each.
Questions

Straight answers.

Is it really free?

Yes, and there's no card. The app, the programs and everything for teams are free, for good. Help from a trainer is free right now too. That means messages answered, videos watched, and your program picked for you. Later it's $250 a month or $2,500 a year, and only if you want it. Nothing is ever charged unless you choose to pay, and you see the exact price first.

Is this only for jumpers?

No. It's for anyone who wants to be more athletic, whatever you play. Jumping is two of the eight days. Your best jump is logged on each one. How high you jump is the clearest sign you're getting more athletic.

Do I need a gym?

Yes. A standard gym: a barbell and rack, dumbbells and a few common machines. If your gym is missing a machine, the exercise guide shows a swap that doesn't need it.

I'm new to training. Is this for me?

Yes. Your first cycle is for finding your starting weights. Go a little easier on your first jump days. After that, add a little weight when every set is clean.

When does the program end?

It has no set end. You repeat the 8-day cycle and add a little weight when every set is clean, for as long as your numbers keep moving.

Do I need a trainer?

No. The whole program is free in the app, and you can run it on your own. A trainer is there if you want a real person on your side.

I'm under 18. Can I use it?

Yes, if you're 13 or older. You sign up and train like anyone else. We can't make an account for anyone under 13.

I coach a team. What do I get?

A roster, a join code, a team calendar, a group chat and one program for the whole team. It's free for good, not just for now. Your athletes keep their own accounts, and you need to be 18 or older to run a team.
