How it works

Know what to do today. Watch it add up.

Everything you do gets written down, so you can see what's moving.

  1. 01

    Start the program

Get athletic on Athlete Made Easy: jumping, sprinting, lifting and stretching in one free program, and your jump test keeps score. More goals are being built.

The Today screen in the app: today's session, Lower Body Strength (heavy lifting, 9 exercises, about 76 minutes), with a Start session button; cycle 6, day 2 of 10, with the cycle's ten days in a row and day 1 done; tiles showing the daily check-in done and 2,620 of 2,650 calories eaten, 30 left; the Orlando Risers team row with a game on Friday at 7 PM; and the Friday 4 PM group call with Save your seat.
  2. 02

    Open today's session

The app tells you what to do today. No guessing.

A session preview in the app: Lower Body Strength, 9 exercises, 29 sets and an estimated 76 minutes, then the session in order — easy warm-up cardio, two isometric holds (the split squat and the standing calf, 30 seconds each side), the power clean (4 warm-up and 3 working sets, 3×3 at 175 lb, 5 lb more than last time) and the front squat (3×3 at 165 lb, 10 lb more) — and a Start warm-up button.
  3. 03

    Log it as you go

Tap in each set. Your max goes up on its own when you lift more.

Changing a set in the app: a sheet over the power clean, set 1 of 3, with the load at 175 lb (in 5 lb steps), 3 reps picked against a target of 3, last time's 3 reps at 170 lb on October 10 right under it, an optional pain question, and a Done · 175 × 3 button.
  4. 04

    See what moved

Charts and records as you go, and a report card on the 1st of every month.

The September report card in the app: 23 sessions logged, a share card with three before-and-after numbers — the full approach jump from 30 to 31 inches, the power clean from 137 to 176 lb and the conventional deadlift from 270 to 282 lb — then the lifts that also moved (the dumbbell curl, the overhead triceps extension and the Bulgarian split squat), and a Share this button.

AME 1-on-1 Coaching · 14 days free

Want a real person on your side?

1-on-1 means your own AME coach: someone who knows you and answers you, by message and video. And the weekly group call is free for everyone. Answered within 24 hours, every day, or your next month is free.

A chat with an AME coach in the app: Connor Barth, your coach, online. On Saturday, October 10 the athlete sends a video of a set, its picture a lifter, head to feet in the middle of the frame, catching a power clean at the shoulders in a gym, and "Last set of cleans. 170 moved fast but the catch felt off."; the coach answers with what to fix (stand up hard first, then pull under, the same idea at 175 next time) and keeps Friday's upper body light for a game. Today the athlete says he tested 32.2 inches, up almost 2 since August, and asks whether to still go heavy on cleans; under it, your coach will answer by tomorrow at 7:46 AM.
Questions

Straight answers.

Is it really free?

The training is, and there's no card. The app, the programs and everything for teams are free, for good. Coaching is $50 a month or $500 a year, if you want it. The first 14 days are free, once per person. We email account holders before a price changes or anything new costs money.

What costs money?

Help from a coach, because it's a person's time: AME 1-on-1 Coaching, $50 a month or $500 a year. The app, the programs and team tools stay free. We email account holders before a price changes or anything new costs money.

Does AME 1-on-1 Coaching include one-on-one calls?

No. 1-on-1 means your own AME coach: someone who knows you and answers you, by message and video. And the weekly group call is free for everyone. The 8-Week Preseason Vertical Challenge is different: it includes a call every week. Not sure it's for you? Book a free 30-minute call and find out.

What goals do you have programs for right now?

Get athletic is ready now. The program, Athlete Made Easy, is a 10-day cycle of jumping, sprinting, lifting and stretching that you repeat. Every other goal is being built, and its program will be free too.

Do I need a gym?

For Athlete Made Easy, no. A full gym is ideal, but the app fits the program to what you have: a full gym, dumbbells and a barbell, dumbbells only, a barbell with no dumbbells, or nothing at all. You get the version of each lift you can do there. If a lift has no version for your setup, the workout tells you and leaves it out. Each new program will say what it needs.

I'm under 18. Can I use it?

Yes, if you're 13 or older. You sign up and train like anyone else. We can't make an account for anyone under 13.

I coach a team. What do I get?

A roster, a join code, a team calendar, a group chat and one program for the whole team. It's free for good, not just for now. Your athletes keep their own accounts, and you need to be 18 or older to run a team.

I've never trained seriously. Is this for me?

Yes. Your first session sets your starting numbers. From there you add a little at a time.
