The deal
These terms are an agreement between you and Connor Barth, doing business as Athlete Made Easy (sole proprietor, Orlando, Florida). By creating an account or using the app or website, you accept them. They're written to be read — if anything is unclear, email connor@athletemadeeasy.com.
The service
Athlete Made Easy is self-guided athletic training: training programs, plans that sequence programs toward a goal, testing and readiness tools, nutrition logging, and progress tracking — in an iOS app and on this website. The core product is free. Optional paid coaching (a human coach reviewing your training and chatting with you in the app) is offered separately, in limited spots.
Your account
You must be at least 13. The app checks your birthday at sign-up.
Keep it accurate. Programs and targets are built from your profile — give real information and keep it current.
One account per person, and it's yours. Don't share credentials or use someone else's account. You're responsible for what happens under yours — keep your password safe.
Training risk — read this one
Before your first session, the app asks you to read and accept a training waiver. That waiver (as versioned in the app) is part of these terms, and its substance is repeated here:
Voluntary participation. You choose to train. Every program, workout, assessment and exercise in Athlete Made Easy is something you take on voluntarily — nothing here is required of you.
Training carries risk. Physical training carries an inherent risk of injury — muscle strains, sprains, overuse injuries and, in rare cases, more serious harm. No program design removes that risk entirely. By using the service, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
Train within your limits. You are responsible for training within your own limits — choosing loads, intensities and progressions that are right for you, warming up properly, and using safe equipment and space.
Stop if something hurts. Sharp or unusual pain, dizziness, faintness or shortness of breath means stop immediately. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention before training again.
Self-guided by design. Athlete Made Easy provides self-guided programming, not supervision. No one is watching your reps in real time — coaching, where added, is remote and advisory. Your safety during a session is in your hands.
Not medical advice
Athlete Made Easy provides training and educational content, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nothing in the app — programs, readiness scores, nutrition targets, coach messages — replaces a doctor. Consult a physician before starting, especially if you have a pre-existing condition (heart condition, chest pain, dizziness, joint or bone problems, pregnancy, or prescribed medication that affects exertion).
Acceptable use
Use the service as an athlete, lawfully. Don't: abuse, harass, or send unlawful content to anyone through coach chat; scrape the platform or harvest its content or data; resell, sublicense, or share access; probe, overload, or work around security and access controls; or impersonate anyone. We build training content with care — copying the program library to republish it isn't fair game.
Your content
Your logs are yours. Workouts, test results, videos, photos, nutrition entries, messages — everything you put in stays your content.
You give us a working license, nothing more. So the service can function, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display your content — to you, and to Connor and your assigned coach — for the purpose of running and improving the service. That license ends when you delete the content or your account — except for training data we keep in anonymized form (no longer identifying you) to improve the service, and content held briefly for the review and cleanup windows described in the Privacy Policy. We never sell your content or use it for advertising.
Upload only what's yours. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you upload, and for what your uploads contain.
Paid features
The core app is free. The one thing you can buy is coaching — a real human coach who reviews your training and works with you in the app, offered in limited spots. Coaching is a personal service (a coach's time and attention), billed on a recurring basis; its price, billing cycle, and cancellation terms are shown before you pay. Buying coaching adds those terms to these — it doesn't replace them. As with the rest of the app, we can't guarantee any particular training result.
Ending things
You can leave any time. Delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or on the web at athletemadeeasy.com/account. Your access closes immediately and your account is hidden. You can restore within 30 days by emailing us; after that we remove your personal details, keep your training data only in anonymized form, and hold your coach messages for a limited review window before deleting them — all as described in the Privacy Policy.
We can close accounts that break the rules. If an account violates these terms, harms other athletes, or abuses the platform, we may suspend or terminate it — with notice where that's reasonable. Sections that by their nature should survive (training risk, disclaimers, limits on liability, governing law) survive termination.
Disclaimers and limits on liability
The service is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it accurate, available, and useful, but to the extent the law allows, we don't make warranties — and we can't guarantee results. Training outcomes depend on you.
Our liability is capped. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim; and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages.
What this doesn't do. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited (like liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct), and nothing here takes away consumer protections your local law gives you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and disputes belong in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida — except where the consumer-protection law of your home jurisdiction says otherwise and can't be waived.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date — and for material changes we'll email account holders before they take effect. Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; if you don't, delete your account.
